Pete Frazer With The Princes Trust 1993
From: ArticlesHere we have a piece from the Lancashire Fire report of 1993 showing Pete Fraser the then princes trust fire service team leader showing off with some of his charge their placements for future employment, here in the photo with the then chief fire officer Mr Russell. Peter has sent me more information about the article.Peter Frazer Bottom left is me, CFO Gordon Russell, Mayor of Blackburn and the young people from the first Prince’s Trust Team that I ran, and therefore the first ever Prince’s Trust Team run by LFRS, the photo dates to February 1994. The 2 females on the left were employed and sponsored by their employer, The Benefits Agency, Sarah (long dark hair) was from Preston and Emily (long blond hair) was from Blackpool. The other 3, Shamus (not sure on spelling but pronounced same as Irish name), Steve (big BRFC fan, poor misguided youth) and Lisa (nearest Mayor and Chief) were all local young people from Blackburn. As it was my first team, the final presentation ceremony was held at Blackburn Fire Station. The teams were run from the YMCA building on Clarence Street, which has since been destroyed by fire.
