Blackburn fire brigade on practise. circa 1911

This shows the fire brigade circa 1911 about to commence drilling. We think that the firemen are from the left, P.C 30 R. Geldard, P.C 100 J. Bibby , P.C. 48 M. Pattison , P.C 74 L. Kenyon, P.C 111 J. Pollard and P.C H. Shimmon, over the other side of the vehicle is P.C 120 Wm. Rostron. The firemen at this time at Blackburn were all policemen or fire bobbies.
