White watch drill in Corporation park 1990's

This is White watch practising at building a raft for if we would have to rescue someone from water, this drill has been practised for many decades but with the water rescue teams available nowadays this would only really be used in extraordinary circumstances. However as you can see there was always getting wet involved , and later as you can see a casualty had to be rescued from a drain where he had become entrapped. The casualty was fm Marsh, fm Mountain, fm Horrocks, fm Brown

It was certainly a fun day and wet, remember Pugs getting strapped to short extension ladder and passed through small tunnel , he volunteered because he was trying to get back in Toms good books and to get out of the way for a bit
