This web site is designed to celebrate the lives and times of the Blackburn Fire Service Past, Present and Future

This web site is part of a project to gather together in one place as much of the history of life around Blackburn fire station as it can . In photographs, documents, newspaper cuttings, firemen’s own remembrances . Orally recorded memories from people who have had dealings with Blackburn’s fire service. To give access to Daily diaries written by the firemen on duty. This is a community site not part of the official fire service and is organised and run by volunteers of whom we have ex firefighters,serving firefighters, relatives ,historians , students and other interested parties. If you would like to help  by sending cuttings ,photos ,letters or any other things they will be gladly accepted and looked at and if possible shown on the site. Or if you would like to be part of the group giving some time up to help with some of the other projects please let us know we will certainly consider you
