In a later cut and run raid a stick of bombs missed the gas works, power station, mills, canal, two railways and Whitebirk Drive. It just gave the Council half a dozen large holes in open land to fill with refuse. it was thought that the raider was lost and simply jettisoned the bombs aimed at opportunity targets.
