Red Watch Standard Station Drill

I think everyone who worked at Blackburn Fire Station will recall such scenes! carried out for the benefit of various senior officers and dignatories over the years.

In this case the local newspaper Lancashire Evening Telegraph were doing an article about Blackburn Fire Station. Both pumping appliances and the Turntable Ladder would turn out on the bells, around the block into the yard and set up the TTL monitor to the top of the Tower, 2 hand held jets at ground and 3rd floor level fed from both hydrants and open  water. I think the record was 3 minutes.
