Dave Noddles 40th At The Fire Station 2006

A bit of a good do

What a great night this was principally white watch with red watch lending their expertise behind the bar just to let you know that do’s on station were a regular thing for many years , many socials and especially New Years eve parties with a Scotsman bringing in the new year with his bagpipes. It was a great way to relax among other watch members and talk about the days events. This party to celebrate Dave’s birthday was held upstairs in the concert room. you can see much of the décor of the station at this time. Amongst those present were two of the paramedics who befriended us during their stay over several months at the fire station. Don’t worry they had just finished hence the uniforms. When events were held on station the on duty watch usually supplied the bar staff numbers permitting and during the night it was common to see them disappearing out to an incident somewhere which meant the committee had to find willing helpers to takeover until their return. Incidentally you may see some photos of Dave doing strange things with his hands this was a challenge by the d.j’s to perform all the movements to superman a party favourite.
