Hi im John Browns daughter Louise, my dad is still going strong he’s 83 now and still thinks he is in the brigade! lovely to see these photos it was actually my daughter who found this site, really hope somebody sees this message.
Henry’s wife was called Sheila, She taught at St Ann’s School in Blackburn
Looks like his son Michael tudor… So think it must be him smile emoticon
Yep could be Raymondo – is the one between him and JB Henry Jackson?
recognised john brown. Is this taken pre 1974 I don’t think Tom Edwards served in Blackburn Borough F.S. but does have look of Tom
Possibly Tom Edwards looking between the two ladies to the right of John. Just guesing.
Defo John Brown. The guy on the right could be a young looking Ray Tudor.
Ray Tudor ? back row top right. Right with John Brown second on the left
Where has time gone Nick Isherwood.?
Indeed they were great times Sandra – and only yesterday!! xx
Me to Sandra
I remember John Brown selling cockles, great times.
Front row 2nd left – Reggie Kray?
I remember that and also not knowing what to call him when he came round selling thought about calling him sir but didn’t think it was right
Ha ha – I used to sell it for him!! And the parched peas!!
Thanks for that Karl but no I am not related to John other than I used to buy his fish food
Will do Nick, he does a lot of walking around Osw so see him often
Give him my regards John – I called at his house a few years ago but he wasn’t in (or possibly hid from me!!)
I often see Ray Tudor around Osw, I’ll try & pick his brains
George thinks could be john Brown, Henry Jackson and Ray Tudor.
Funny you should say that Karl. I once met John Brown’s dad and they were like two peas in a pod, so the family genes could be strong.
Stephen Brown are you related to John Brown as there is a striking resemblance?
left is Dick and Muriel Petty, then John Brown with his wife, then Henry Jackson and his wife, and finally Ray Tudor and his wife
Hi Steve,
Third from left is Henry Jackson with his wife at the front.
I think the first left is Richard Petty. If so it could be the old White Watch.
Regards Bob F
