From: ArticlesThis photograph shows some of the firemen from the 60’s with their wives and partners at a social event on the station , this picture taken in the games room just before entering the concert room, some of the people are Thomas Birtwistle, C.F.O, William Williams, D.C.O., between the 2 ex chiefs is Arthur Jackson and John Wilkins ex C.F.O, Jack Entwistle and Alan Proctor with last 2 on the right being Albert Carter and Jimmy Hopwood. Sorry these are the only ones I Know at the present ,do you Know anybody or what the event was for? please let us know

Albert Carter was my Uncle and was married to my Auntie Jennie (nee Shaw) who was one of my Mother’s sisters. Their daughter Marlene, my cousin, now lives at Lytham St Anne’s.
the lady on the left (check dress) is Edith Butcher, the lady next to her (white dress) is Alice Holden, her husband John Holden is first on the left at the back.
