Captain Halons' Mob
From: PhotographsThe story behind this is that at a job in Philips, Glenfield Park our officer went to examine a Halon Gas type of fixed extinguisher in the ceiling , another fireman was helping at the time , when the system operated and to breathe it in was very bad for your health , so a laurel and hardy wrestling match took place whilst they both sought to be the first one out. If you can see in the photo we had our t shirts printed with Captain Halon’s mob
