Here are White watch from Blackburn and Hyndburn fire stations coming together at ledatech on highfield road, we were there to practise doing a decontamination drill looking at the photos you realise that some of the firefighters are in decontamination suits or simply put plastic protection suits. These suits are worn over the top of the fire kit and a breathing apparatus set, here they are searching for a source of contamination in a drum , they find it and make it safe using earth or soil in the process, they the have to be decontaminated or cleaned  hence the shower . I was the entry control officer checking the breathing apparatus teams in and out , other jobs include going around collecting information to give to the officer in charge to give him an overall view of what is happening at the incident . The last photos show a water curtain to disperse a potential gas cloud that may hurt people in the area
